Parwaaz Foundation
"A Legacy of Hope and Resilience"
Project Parwaaz is a non-profit initiative that has been transforming lives in Pakistan since 1998. Founded by Pervaiz Akhter, the project was inspired by his mother, who became a single mother at the age of 32 with five children in a rural area. Witnessing her struggles and sacrifices, her eldest son turned his gratitude into action, creating a platform that supports widows, single mothers, orphans, the elderly, and those in crisis.
Today, thousands of people benefit from Project Parwaaz every month through its wide-reaching humanitarian efforts.

Key Initiatives of Project Parwaaz
-
Support for Widows and Single Mothers
Inspired by the founder’s mother, Project Parwaaz offers financial aid, vocational training, and shelter to empower single mothers and widows. Women receive skills training to help them become financially independent, such as tailoring, handicrafts, and small business management. Monthly stipends, educational support for their children, and access to medical care ensure they can rebuild their lives with dignity.
-
Orphan Care and Education
Orphans are provided with safe housing, nutritious meals, and quality education to secure their future. The project partners with local schools and educators to ensure children receive proper academic and moral guidance. Emotional and psychological support is also a key focus, helping orphans overcome trauma and build confidence.
-
Medical Aid and Free Healthcare Camps
Free medical camps are set up across various regions, offering consultations, medications, and basic treatments for those who cannot afford healthcare. Patients suffering from chronic illnesses receive subsidized or free treatment, including surgeries and long-term care. Pregnant women, newborns, and elderly patients are prioritized for specialized healthcare services.
-
Crisis Relief and Emergency Aid
Project Parwaaz has been on the frontlines of disaster relief, providing immediate food, shelter, and medical support during earthquakes, floods, and other crises. Volunteers are mobilized to deliver essential aid, ensuring affected families receive timely assistance and rehabilitation support. Psychological counseling and post-crisis support help communities rebuild after devastating events.
-
Food Banks and Nutrition Programs
The organization runs food banks that distribute monthly rations to families in need, ensuring no one goes to bed hungry. Special programs target malnourished children and pregnant women, offering nutritional guidance and supplements. During Ramadan and other festive seasons, special food drives provide warm meals and ration packs to underprivileged families.
-
Elderly Care and Support
The project ensures that senior citizens without family support receive financial aid, medical care, and companionship. A community-driven initiative connects volunteers with elderly individuals, offering them social interaction, healthcare, and essential supplies. Plans are underway to establish dedicated elderly homes to provide long-term care and support.

A Growing Legacy of Compassion
From a small initiative in 1998 to a nationwide humanitarian movement, Project Parwaaz continues to uplift lives through selfless service. The unwavering commitment of Pervaiz Akhter and his team of volunteers has made it a beacon of hope for countless individuals.
